First-Party Data

Useful · The data you already have

Most small businesses are sitting on quiet goldmines — three years of sales records, customer support tickets, website visits, CRM history — and using none of it. We help you read your own data, in plain English, and turn it into one or two real decisions per quarter.

/ AWhat you get

The included items, listed plainly. No asterisks, no fine print.

  • 01A one-page audit of the data you already collect (no new tracking added)
  • 02Two or three decision-grade analyses per quarter — retention, lead leakage, top-margin products, churn risk
  • 03Findings written in plain English, not enterprise BI ceremony
  • 04Optional small-scale dashboard via privacy-respecting open-source tooling (Umami, Plausible, similar)
  • 05No tracking pixels, no third-party brokers, no surveillance ad tech
/ BHow it works

Three steps, then quiet.

The whole point is that after setup you should mostly forget we are here — until we have something useful to tell you.
  1. Step 01

    Audit what you already have

We start with a single-page inventory of the data your business is already collecting — sales, CRM, support tickets, website analytics, accounting records, scheduling. No new tracking, no new pixels. Just a clear picture of what is on hand and how trustworthy each source is.

  2. Step 02

Pick two or three questions worth answering

We agree on two or three real decisions you would like to make this quarter — "should we send the renewal nudge at week six or week eight?", "which of our three product lines is actually paying the rent?", "where in the funnel are leads quietly leaking?". Then we get the data and answer them.

  3. Step 03

    Plain-English findings

You get a written report — usually six to ten pages — that names the answer, names the confidence level, and names the next step. No 40-tab dashboard. No "self-service BI." Just the decisions and the evidence.

/ CWho it's for

Built for these operators.

  • Small businesses with three or more years of CRM, sales, or support history that have never been analysed
  • Operators trying to understand churn, retention, lead conversion, or product-line profitability
  • Owners who keep getting Google Analytics emails and have never opened one
  • Studios, retailers, clinics, and trades who want quarterly insight without committing to enterprise BI software
/ DWhat it isn't

And what it is not.

  • A SaaS dashboard subscription. The deliverable is a report and the decisions it supports — not a tool you have to log into every week.
  • An attribution / ad-tech project. We do not build cross-site tracking, third-party data joins, or audience segmentation for ad platforms. That is the surveillance machine we are explicitly not part of.
  • A data warehouse build. If your data lives in three spreadsheets, that is what we work with. We will tell you when a small data warehouse is genuinely worth it (often: not yet).
/ EFrequently asked

The questions we hear frequently.

If yours is not here, write to us. We are honest when the answer is "it depends".

  • 01

Do we need a data warehouse, or any infrastructure?

Almost never on engagement one. Most small businesses can support two or three quarterly analyses out of the systems they already pay for — Xero, HubSpot, Shopify, the CRM, the support tool. We will tell you honestly when something heavier is worth the spend.

  • 02

How is this different from hiring a fractional analyst?

A fractional analyst gives you ongoing capacity. We give you decisions. Some clients buy both — analyst for week-to-week, us for the quarterly look-up. We do not compete on hours.

  • 03

Will you help us collect more data?

Only if the question genuinely needs it. We start by squeezing what is already there. The phrase "we need to collect more data first" is one of the most expensive sentences in small business; we will only say it when it is true.
