The studio publishes openly.
Our core tooling — across both Human Technology and Ethical Data — is published under the GNU Affero General Public License. Read it, run it, audit it. The commercial offering is the operations work; the code is yours either way.
The catalogue lives on github.com.
We do not maintain a duplicate catalogue here. The full list of repositories — their current state, language, and licence — is on the GitHub org. That is the source of truth.
Read what we publish, run it for yourself, file an issue if something is broken or missing.
Why we publish under the GNU AGPL.
The Affero clause closes the "service over a network" loophole in the standard GPL. If someone runs our code as a hosted service for other people, they have to share the source of any improvements back with the people they are serving.
Practically, that means: you can use our tooling in your own business with no obligation to publish anything. You can fork and modify it for your own internal use freely. If you start selling a hosted version of it to others, you owe those users their own copy of your modifications.
That feels right to us. The licence enforces a simple rule: don't build a closed business on top of open work without giving something back.
Contributors are welcome.
Issues, pull requests, translations, documentation patches — all of it. We read every issue and reply within a working week. The studio is small, so be patient on response time, but persistent if you have something good.
